Located in the heart of a mixed forest, the Grand-Héron hiking trails feature thirteen interpretive panels about local wildlife and vegetation.
As you climb the hill, the forest gradually gives way to rocky outcrops covered with shrubs and moss.
At the top, a 10-meter observation tower and a scenic lookout provide stunning views of the islands on Lake Macamic — one of which hosts a heronry — and of the surrounding region.
Birdwatchers and ornithology enthusiasts, don’t forget your binoculars. Hiking shoes are highly recommended to fully enjoy the trail.
